Bespoke Beginnings

Since its establishment in 1982 as an exclusive inner city bespoke boutique, K. Ritchie has been infused with a rich tradition of designer equestrian tailoring and expert craftsmanship.

Founded by Melbourne designer Katrina Ritchie, the label's roots were intertwined with the house of legendary couturier Louise Epstein, whose expert pattern makers, artisans, tailors and technicians bestowed their wisdom on the K. Ritchie team. From its earliest days, a culture was instilled of meticulous attention to detail, an unrivalled dedication to fit, and an appreciation for only the finest fabrics - an ethos which still bears its influence on today's ready-to-wear collection.

Today the K. Ritchie collection reflects two decades of bespoke design, bringing the best of speciality tailoring to the convenience of ready to wear garments.

Pure Wool: The K.Ritchie Ladies Competition Jacket features luxurious imported wool for unsurpassed quality, shape retention, and lasting style.

Cotton Shirting: K.Ritchie Shirts and Stocks are made with ultra fine, high thread count, pure European cotton. The result is a garment that feels beautiful on the skin, breathes naturally, and maintains its shape and texture after every wash.

Clarino Seats: K.Ritchie Breeches feature seats produced from the worlds leading equestrian seat manufacturers. Imported from Japan, Clarino is an extraordinary high tech leather, breathes naturally, is luxuriously soft, and colour intense. Its ultra-fine fibres are extremely flexible and move freely within the spaces of the fabric matrix. This results in smoother curves, greater suppleness and unparalleled softness. Clarino also repels wind, water, stains and mildew.
